iawatha Golf Course, located in South Minneapolis, is just minutes from downtown Minneapolis and Saint Paul.  Hiawatha Golf Course was established in 1934 when the Corp. of Engineers dredged out the swampy Rice Lake area creating what is now Lake Hiawatha.  Located on the western shores of Lake Hiawatha, Hiawatha Golf Course is home to many prestigious golf events.  Including the 1999 Tiger Woods Foundation Junior Golf Clinic.  Voted “Readers Choice” for Best Golf Course in 2004 by the City Pages, Hiawatha Golf Course continues to serve golf enthusiasts of Minneapolis, St. Paul and surrounding communities.

Hiawatha Golf Course has 18 Holes of Championship Golf, a state of the art Learning Center and full Food and Beverage Service served in a comfortable neighborhood atmosphere.  This long par 73 layout is generally flat with old growth tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers and water hazards complete with beautiful fountains.  Historic Minnehaha Creek meanders throughout Hiawatha Golf Course’s back nine before flowing into Lake Hiawatha.  The small greens require players to execute accurate approach shots and encourage risk-reward play.  Multiple sets of tees challenge players of all skill levels.  Corporate and Group Outings are welcomed.
